Welding Training Program Description
Training Structural, Pipe, and Combo Welders


This comprehensive hands-on welding training program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to become proficient structural and pipe welders, including advanced combo welders. Trainees will receive instruction and practice in a wide range of welding techniques and positions, pipe fitting, and preparation for industry-standard welding tests.


Program Highlights:


Welding Joint Types and Positions:




  • T-Joint welding (Flat, Vertical, Overhead)




  • V-Groove welds with back plate




  • Open-root V-Groove stick welding




  • 2", 4", and 6" pipe welds in 2G, 5G, and 6G positions (Stick and TIG)




  • Combo welding in 5G and 6G positions




Specialized Welding Techniques:




  • 4-Post Restriction Box welding (2” Stick & TIG)




  • TIG Lap Joint (Vertical & Overhead)




  • MIG welding (Flat, Vertical, Overhead)




  • Stainless-to-Carbon welding (5G, 6G)




  • Stainless-to-Stainless welding (5G, 6G)




  • Stainless Sanitary welding (5G, 6G)




Cutting, Fitting, and Measurement Skills:




  • Manual beveling techniques




  • Torch cutting




  • Pipe fitting and welding in system




  • 2-hole flange alignment




  • Reading and using a tape measure




Advanced Practice and Testing:




  • Simulated test conditions for 5G Stick & TIG in the restriction box




  • Testing in 6G positions (Stick and TIG)




  • Socket weld testing (in box and roll-out)




  • Waterwall welding (Stick, TIG)




  • Convection Box and Mirrorwall simulations




This program is designed to prepare students for real-world welding applications in various industries, including construction, fabrication, and industrial piping systems. Graduates will be equipped to pass employer-required welding tests and pursue certifications relevant to their trade.

Refund Policy

Students who withdraw or are terminated are entitled to a refund based on the percentage of the program completed. A 90% refund is given if 10% is completed, 80% refund at 20%, 70% at 30%, 60% at 40%, 50% at 50%, 40% at 60%, 30% at 70%, 20% at 80%, and 10% at 90% completion. No refund is provided after 90% of the program is completed.
