Description
Qualified welders are in demand around the state and nation. The Academy at Goodwill offers a welding certification program focused on equipping soon-to-be welders with the safe and appropriate use of welding machines, torches, and common hand tools used in the welding process. This course is perfect for an individual interested in welding, with a little bit of experience, and wanting to pursue a career as a welder.
Classes will meet Monday through Thursday, with Fridays available for students to schedule make-up sessions or extra practice. Classes will be offered during two time slots. The morning session will meet from 8 a.m. to Noon, and the afternoon session will meet from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The course costs include curriculum, books, in-class instruction, access to the welding lab equipment, weld test certifications in SMAW and FCAW, and a welder kit that the student keeps after successfully completing the program. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Payment plans are also available and can be discussed with the program manager during pre-enrollment interviews.

Refund Policy
Refunds are based on the percentage of program completion at the time of withdrawal:
- Withdrawal before 25% completion of the program = 50% refund of tuition paid (excluding registration fee).
- Withdrawal at or after 25% completion of the program = No refund.
