Description

This 64-hour program consists of 48 hours of classroom instruction and a 16-hour externship, completed during the
program. Students should be prepared to attend the required externship. The externship may be waived if the student has a job in the veterinary field and already has 16 hours of practical experience, verified by a signed letter from their employer. The Veterinary Assistant program prepares students to support veterinarians in clinical settings by providing hands-on
training in animal care and treatment. Students will learn basic animal anatomy, safe handling and restraint, assistance with
physical exams, wound care, specimen processing, and surgical prep—all reinforced through real-world experience.

At Comletion of less than 25% of program, the refund on tuition will be made on a pro rata basis. Completion of more than 25% of program, but less than 50%, refund is 50%. Completion of more than 50%, but less than 75%, refund is 25%. Completion of 75% or more of the program, no refund.
