LPN to RN
This program is a LPN/LVN to RN transition program and is part of ARNEC (Arkansas Rural Nursing Education Consortium - https://www.arnec.org/). ARNEC is a consortium of four community and technical colleges located in rural areas of Arkansas and was created to provide LPNs/LVNs the opportunity to take the next step towards advancing their careers in nursing by earning an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree (AASN). This program is a 12month program that prepares students to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam and apply for a Registered Nursing (RN) license.
Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Licensing or registration required.
