The Nursing Assistant program is approved by the Arkansas Office of Long-Term Care with regular evaluations to ensure a quality education in the healthcare field. The program is designed to prepare qualified individuals to meet the everchanging needs of our healthcare community. This course provides clinical instruction and practice of basic nursing skills required of nursing assistants employed in skilled nursing facilities and extended care facilities. The course emphasizes care of the older adult client assistance with the activities of daily living bathing dressing exercise movement eating eliminating safety measures and cardiopulmonary resuscitation along with rehabilitation techniques.
