The Associate of Science degree in Computer Information Systems is awarded to students who complete all core major and related requirements. Some programs require specific courses or have certain prerequisites which will also fulfill College Core Requirements. Computer information systems intertwines technology with managing business and solving operational problems. This program prepares the student to enter the challenging field of computer information systems with knowledge of programming, database management and systems analysis. The program is designed to meet the business community's demand for adequately trained information systems specialists and provide students with a solid background to advance in this rapidly expanding field. Students learn how to develop, design, manage and maintain business technology infrastructure, as well as inform businesses of their specific technology needs.
