Description
This 90-hour Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course provides the required training by the State of
Arkansas for state certification of nursing assistants. The course includes 74 hours of classroom and lab instruction,
combined with 16 hours of hands-on clinical training in a long-term care facility. Students will gain the foundational
knowledge and practical skills needed to begin a rewarding career as a CNA. The curriculum covers essential topics such as
infection control, residents’ rights, communication skills, and ethical responsibilities. Students will also learn basic nursing
procedures including transferring and positioning residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and accurately
taking and recording vital signs. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the Arkansas
state certification exam and enter the workforce as competent, compassionate CNAs prepared to provide quality care in a
variety of healthcare settings.
