Job Description
Tool and Die Maker
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Operate and initiate set ups on grinders, shapers, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, etc. with no supervision.

Heat treat various types of tool steel.

Make new die sections, as well as replace broken and worn dies.

Disassemble and reassemble die; check punches and dies for proper working clearance.

Build new dies from blueprints.

Analyze areas of quality cost and implement root cause corrective action for overall reduction in quality cost.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of statistical process control techniques.
