The Straightener Operator is responsible for all aspects of product straightening. This includes safety, set-up, maintenance, adjustments, tracking, data entry, procedures, and being able to produce a quality product at a high production rate. This operator will obtain and maintain jib crane certification. The Straightener Operator must work in extreme weather conditions, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Experience in straightening operation Strong understanding of roll building processDetailed Selection Criteria:
Communication Skills Strong ability to effectively express ideas and opinions both verbally and written in order to achieve positive outcomes. Teamwork A proven history of working well with other teammates to effectively achieve a common goal Attention to Detail – Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met. Accountability/Dependability – Displays responsibilitywith work habits and has ability to hold others accountable for desired results. Being reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations. Controlling Machines and Processes – Using either control mechanisms or direct activity to operate machines and processes (not including computers or vehicles). Operation and Control – Controlling operations of equipment and/or systems. Operation Monitoring – Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators, to make sure a machine or process is working properly. Mechanical Knowledge – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and/or maintenance.Preferences:
