Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment.
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices.
Job Duties
Monitor and maintain feed systems, water supply systems, mechanical scrapers, cooling and ventilation equipment, and egg collection equipment
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on poultry house equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure equipment operates efficiently
Support daily operations by maintaining a safe and productive work environment
Report equipment concerns and assist with preventative maintenance activities
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Poultry House Maintenance Technician.
Physical Capabilities
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
