Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgical Technician, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.

Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient’s healing process.

To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.

+ Competency to Scrub and prepare For Surgical Procedures

+ Competency to Assist Surgeons

+ Maintaining Patient Treatments

+ Competency to Assist in the Circulating Duties of an RN

+ Competency to Create & Maintain A Sterile Operative Field and Assist In Providing an Infection-Free Environment for the Patient

Job Requirements

Required

+ Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing with attendance of the core curriculum for perioperative nursing or equivalent training, upon hire or

+ graduate of an approved surgical technology program (one or two year program), upon hire or

+ on-the-job trained within the St. Vincent Systems

+ Basic Life Support – CPR, within 30 Days

Pay Range

$27.25 – $27.25 /hour
