Job Description
Position Title: Prevention Specialist (Teen Driving Safety Specialist/PFS Coordinator)
Positions Summary
The Teen Driving Safety Specialist (50%) and will assist with the development and implementation of an educational program addressing teen driving, bicycle, and pedestrian safety. This position will be responsible for recruiting schools, colleges, and community partners to participate in the program’s educational and evaluation activities. The Specialist will also be cross-trained to support community bike/pedestrian activities, including educational presentations, outreach, and advocacy.
The Partnership For Success Program Coordinator (50%) will facilitate evidence-based programs, with the implementation of the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) to channel efforts to strengthen state and community-level prevention capabilities, targeting prevalent substance use issues such as underage drinking, marijuana, tobacco, electronic cigarettes, opioids, methamphetamine, and heroin. This position will also be responsible for recruiting schools, colleges, and community partners to participate in the program’s educational and evaluation activities. The position plays a key role in implementing the program’s Work Plan, with responsibilities in outreach, service delivery, community-level change strategies, data collection, and public education.
