Direct Support Supervisor | Myers-Davis Life Coaching, Inc.
About the role
The Direct Support Supervisor (DSS) will report to the company executives and the Waiver Services Director, the DSS will assist in managing the clients and Direct Support Professionals associated with the Waiver program through Arkansas Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS). The DSS will communicate thoroughly with all departments (including, but not limited to billing, payroll, Q/A, and HR) to ensure the accuracy of the operations side of the program. The DSS will comply with all applicable DDS policies and processes and will work as an integral member of the Myers-Davis team to achieve overall company goals. All team members must have a willingness to accept and model the culture of Myers-Davis Life Coaching with all staff.
Responsibilities: Other Duties May Be Assigned
• Taking referrals from care coordinators for Waiver services on new clients.
• Developing budgets and plans for each new client.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate client files which will include but are not limited to submitting new consumer files no later than their service start date.
• Attend quarterly training via Teams or in person. It is preferred that each DSS attends at least one of the annual quarterly training sessions in person.
• Travel will be required to meet with staff, clients, families, and to attend mandatory meetings.
• Ensuring health and safety for Waiver recipients.
• Works with QA to resolve compliance issues in a timely manner.
• Supervising the Direct Support Professionals (caregivers/Waiver employees).
• Works in tandem with the HR team in completing the new hire process for all DSPs and all training requirements for the DSPs.
• Generating accurate billing & payroll data in a timely and diligent manner.
• Supporting various needs of Waiver clients, families, and employees.
• Providing information and resources to better implement goal plans.
• Performing annual meetings with all members on the client list as well as submitting updated forms.
• Completing and submitting the Quarterly Consumer Contact reports in a timely manner.
Location & commitments:
• Location: Closest office geographically, remote as needed with approval from supervisor. (with travel exceptions)
• Normal hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm, but this position requires the employee to be available as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• You must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Relevant previous work experience preferred but not required.
• Language skills, mathematical skills, reasoning ability apply (including reading, writing, interpreting documents/instructions, speaking effectively, calculating figures/amounts, practical problem solving)
• Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and basic working knowledge of the internet and internet browsers.
• Able to present oneself in a professional manner including, but not limited to, satisfactory personal grooming, voice control, genuine respect/concern for others, punctuality, confidentiality.

Physical Demands:
• Ability to operate a computer/keyboard at least 6-8 hours per day.
• Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently it is required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers; handle and feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• You must be able to lift 10-15 pounds.
• Office-based with required travel to program/office sites throughout the State with occasional evening, and weekends.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to focus.
• Noise levels can range from quiet to moderately loud.
