Your Job
Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Quality Supervisor at our Paragould, AR facility! This position will provide direct supervision of at least four employees in the Quality Assurance Department & Lab department. The successful individual will ensure employees are engaged in visual, dimensional, and performance tests required for quality control of plastic packaging products. In addition, they will ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA), and customer specifications for products used in supermarkets, food service, and food-processing applications.
This individual will be based out of our Paragould, AR facility but will also support our location in Marmaduke, AR.

Our Team
Georgia-Pacific Northeast Arkansas facilities produce plastic packaging products under the Anchor Packaging name. These manufacturing locations employee ~900 individuals dedicated to applying innovative processes to produce high quality rigid containers and cling film for the food service industry.

What You Will Do

Help each employee better understand and embrace the team/business vision (and associated strategies and priorities) so they can make the greatest contribution to Anchor Packaging & Georgia-Pacific
Develop team members into Principled Entrepreneurs through an effective organizational structure, including Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations connected to the facility vision
Build and support a culture where employees identify risks and work to reduce them
Accelerate training and verification process of team members
Assist QA team members in diagnosing and resolving complex issues, ensuring that quality metrics and production timelines are met
Maintain and enforce QA standards that align with regulating bodies and other applicable guidelines
Identify and implement measures to enhance testing protocols, data collection, and overall quality outcomes
Assist with investigating and resolving product complaints, by assisting with root-cause analyses, implement corrective/preventive actions, and communicate outcomes to all relevant stakeholders
Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by the Quality Manager or upper management to support organizational goals

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in a quality role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Demonstrated supervisory or team-lead experience
Experience leading and developing a team, crew, and/or shift
Experience facilitating 1 on 1 and group conversations

What Will Put You Ahead
Knowledge of FDA regulations
Experience in plastics processes (thermoforming, sheet extrusion, blown film) or food-contact packaging
Knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection and common performance tests
Ability to interpret test data and perform basic data analysis to communicate findings
