Department's Website:https://biology.uark.edu/Summary of Job Duties:The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor of Human Physiology to start July 2026. We seek candidates whose teaching experience encompasses large enrollment courses like Human Physiology and associated laboratory sections. The position requires teaching Human Physiology lectures and supervising a team of instructors and graduate teaching assistants to deliver multiple co-requisite Human Physiology laboratory sections in the spring, summer and fall semesters. This position will require developing and implementing new methods of teaching to reflect changes in the field, providing curriculum material, constructing syllabi, leading classroom instruction, writing and administering exams, mentoring and evaluating students and graduate teaching assistants that oversee laboratory sections, creating interest and understanding among students, and a small service appointment that can include serving on various faculty- and student-oriented committees, providing service on campus and in related professional organizations, and/or participating in faculty governance in the department and on campus.
