Job Description

Position Summary:

The soiled linen processing employee shall process soiled linen as assigned in preparation for delivery to washroom. The employee in this role must be able to function in a production environment, meeting certain physical criteria, and attaining performance level goals on a consistent basis. Processing to include, separation, weighing, and inspections.

Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities:

· Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

o Moving carts of soiled linen

o Separate and sort soiled linen

o Placing soiled linen into slings for movement to washroom

o Documenting linen count or weights

o Use of cart dumping equipment to empty soiled linen for cart

o Open bags containing soiled linen

o Identifies and removes items that are to be returned to clients

o Identifies what has been damaged by the customer

o Weighing up items to get ready for soil staging

o Unloading trucks

· Strictly adheres to safety standards including use off PPE, hand hygiene, and use of equipment.

· Must perform all functions as assigned in strict accordance with company safety policies.

· Follow instructions and directions of Supervisors, Managers, and General Manager as appropriate.

· Maintain a clean work area.

· Responsible for taking trash to dumpster each day.

· Responsible for taking plastic to compactor each day.

· Must meet goals assigned by Supervisor, Manager, or General Manager.

· Job duties could change due to change of business.

· Responsible for communication to Superior Linen Service management regarding issues, concerns, etc., related to quality or safety.

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses Required:

Preferred

· High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Must maintain attendance in accordance with Superior Linen Service policies.
