Job Description
Position Summary:
The Washroom/Dryer employee shall process soiled linen as assigned in preparation for the ironers or dry fold. The employee in this role must be able to function in a production environment, meeting certain physical criteria, and attaining performance level goals on a consistent basis.
Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities:
· Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
o Movement of carts of soiled linen.
o Linen rails to move product along the line.
o Open bags containing soiled linen.
o Separate and sort soiled linen.
o Open and wash new product.
o Keep all clean carts on clean side of plant and clean for inspection.
o Keep all dirty carts on dirty side of plant.
o Move linens that have been processed through the washer to the dryer area and on to ironers or dry fold.
o Clean machines with wipes after loading with dirty hospital.
· Strictly adheres to safety standards including use of PPE, hand hygiene, use of equipment.
· Must perform all functions as assigned in strict accordance with company safety policies.
· Follows instructions and directions of Supervisors, Managers, and Directors as appropriate.
· Maintain a clean work area, which includes power washing machines.
· Must meet goals assigned by Supervisor, Manager, or Director.
· Job Duties could change due to change of business.
· Responsible for communication to Superior Linen Service management with regard to issues, concerns, etc., related to quality or safety.
