Job Description
Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently hiring a Travel Physical Therapist in Fort Smith, Arkansas!
This is an on-site, full-time contract opportunity supporting home health patients throughout Fort Smith and surrounding areas. Apply with a current resume for consideration.
Pay: $56.00 to $59.00 per hour
Type: Three-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekly Guarantee: 32 Hours
Location: Fort Smith, AR 72901
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient functional status, body systems, and physical therapy needs in accordance with CMS documentation requirements
- Consult with physicians to develop and implement individualized therapy plans of care
- Provide physical therapy services within the scope of state practice guidelines and agency standards
- Treat patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum independence using evidence-based therapy techniques
- Observe and report patient progress, treatment response, and condition changes to physicians and nursing staff
- Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members regarding treatment plans, goals, and functional limitations
- Complete all patient evaluations, progress notes, and documentation according to agency and state guidelines
- Travel throughout Fort Smith and surrounding service areas to provide home health therapy services
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and agency committees as requested
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and home health aides in accordance with state regulations and company policy
- Prepare discharge summaries and patient progress reports as required
- Maintain schedule flexibility to meet patient care needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Active Arkansas Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Current CPR certification required
- Home Health and OASIS experience required
- Minimum prior experience in home health, rehabilitation, or related therapy settings preferred
- HCHB experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently in a travel-based home health setting
Additional Information:
- Mileage reimbursed between patient visits
- No on-call requirement
- Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
- Coverage area includes Fort Smith and surrounding communities
