Overview:
The EHS Coordinator supports workplace safety and environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment. This role helps promote a strong safety culture by ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards while supporting training, inspections, and incident investigations.
EHS Coordinator Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enforce company safety policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and fire safety regulations
- Conduct facility safety inspections and identify hazards
- Lead and assist with safety training for new hires and employees
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and support HazCom initiatives
- Investigate workplace incidents and maintain safety records
- Monitor safety equipment and ensure proper usage
- Promote safe work practices and report unsafe conditions
- Assist leadership with safety improvements and corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Must be 18+ years old
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree
- Health & safety experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2–3 years maintenance or related experience
