Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze weekly POS performance via Walmart Retail Link and Scintilla to track sales, share, distribution, and promotional effectiveness; communicate findings and KPI trends to the broader team
- Develop and maintain regular business reporting (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) including KPI scorecards, business review decks, promotion recaps, and ad hoc analysis for the customer team and internal stakeholders
- Maintain integrity of internal reporting structures, dashboards, and automation
- Support the Joint Business Planning (JBP) process by compiling data, building scenario models, and tracking progress against mutually agreed goals with Walmart buyers
- Monitor 4P performance (Product, Price, Placement, Promotion) to identify in-market gaps and growth opportunities across the CGP Garden portfolio at Walmart
- Lead adoption of new analytics tools to support and enhance the capabilities of sales team
- Track digital shelf health on Walmart.com using Supplier One, identifying content gaps, suppressed items, and out-of-stock issues to protect and grow our online presence
- Model profitability and business scenarios including trade spend optimization, pricing analysis, and assortment scenarios; make actionable recommendations based on findings
- Support annual budgeting process and monthly/quarterly forecasting, collaborating with Finance and Supply Chain to ensure accuracy and alignment
- Leverage syndicated data (Yipit, Nielsen, Numerator) to analyze competitive dynamics, category trends, and share of shelf, informing strategic recommendations for the team
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of experience in CPG sales analytics, retail analytics, or a related field preferred; experience on a Walmart-facing team is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional communication skills; ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise narratives for both analytical and non-analytical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated track record of converting data into actionable business recommendations
- Strong people skills and the ability to work effectively with team members
- Experience with Walmart Retail Link and/or Scintilla preferred; knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Alloy, SAP, or Cognos a plus
- Familiarity with syndicated data platforms (Yipit, Nielsen, and/or Numerator) preferred
- High level of energy and sense of urgency; self-starter; strong and effective multi-tasker
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree required, with preferred emphasis in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related analytical field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling); Power Query and Power BI experience a plus
- This is an on-site role based in Bentonville, AR; travel up to 10% may be required for internal company meetings and customer market visits
