  Your day to day as a Loan Assistant

As a Loan Assistant at Generations Bank in Bentonville, you will directly support loan officers by facilitating a seamless application process for borrowers. This role is essential in ensuring that clients fully understand their loan options and the terms involved, fostering a customer-centric approach. Your key responsibilities will include initiating credit requests, managing the intricacies of loan processing, and ensuring compliance with all closing requirements. Here are the job duties:

  1. Process Loan Applications: Review incoming files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all required documentation meets bank and regulatory standards.
  2. Customer Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers, providing status updates and resolving inquiries throughout the lending cycle.
  3. Coordinate Closing Logistics: Liaise with title companies, attorneys, and insurance agents to schedule closings and ensure all conditions are met.
  4. Prepare Loan Documentation: Generate and organize legal loan packages, including notes, mortgages, and disclosure statements.
  5. Portfolio Maintenance: Manage post-closing tasks such as filing UCC statements, monitoring insurance expirations, and tracking financial reporting requirements.
  6. Lien & Collateral Management: Perform lien searches and ensure the proper perfection of collateral to protect the institution's interests.
  7. Data Integrity: Input and maintain loan data within the core banking system to ensure accurate reporting and billing.
  8. Compliance Oversight: Identify and resolve documentation exceptions to maintain audit readiness and adherence to federal lending laws
