Your role and responsibilities:

Lead and manage the overall safety functions and ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies. In partnership with managers and employees, the Safety Manager is also responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and that people work safely.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Lead HSE Culture & Compliance: Serve as the primary HSE liaison, embedding a strong health, safety, and environmental culture while ensuring organizational compliance with local regulations and ABB HSE standards.
Strengthen HSE Capability & Risk Management: Optimize HSE processes and tools, oversee risk assessments, and ensure effective implementation of controls, preventive measures, and learning programs.
Drive Incident Management & Continuous Improvement: Ensure timely reporting, investigation, and communication of incidents, sharing lessons learned and best practices to drive behavioral change and continual improvement.
Monitor Performance & Manage Resources: Track and report HSE performance against KPIs and objectives, support budgeting for the function, and manage resources to meet financial and operational targets.

Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's degree in health and safety or a related discipline and minimum 8 years experience including 5 years in industrial supervision and/or training.
Preferred Experience / Certifications: CISP, CSP, First Aid, OSHA 10 hour, OSHA 30 hour, Leans Six Sigma, ISO.
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
