JOB SUMMARY 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical systems for commercial buildings, a commitment to safety, and the ability to complete projects on time and within budget. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring work complies with applicable codes and standards. 

  

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings (wiring, conduits, lighting, control systems, and panels). 
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate installation. 
  3. Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems to verify compliance with safety regulations and code requirements. 
  4. Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions. 
  5. Collaborate with project managers, apprentices, and other trades to complete projects efficiently. 
  6. Adhere strictly to company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and NEC standards. 
  7. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to electrical apprentices. 
  8. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent. 


EQUIPMENT OPERATED: 

Scissor Lifts 

Excavators

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-required). 

4+ years of experience in commercial electrical work. 

Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. 

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and technical diagrams. 

Proficient with electrical tools, testing equipment, and safety gear. 

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Excellent communication and time-management skills. 

Physical ability to perform electrical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Osha 10 or 30 Certification  

Experience with Low-voltage systems  

Previous Onsite Lead Experience  

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS 

Must pass a criminal background check 

Must have a valid driver’s license 

Must have and maintain a good driving record 

Must pass preemployment drug screening   

Clean driving record 

Drug test

WORK CONDITIONS:

Works in a heated and cooled office environment.
