We have an exciting opportunity for an Inspector based in Hot Springs, AR.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Contract Services Inspector, you will plan, coordinate, and inspect the fieldwork performed by outside contractors with the objective of assuring that work conforms to company standards, specifications, and schedules. Work includes but is not limited to installation, operation, repair of gas mains and service lines and service-related work that is performed at the customer’s meters.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High school or GED
- Minimum of seven (7) years of gas-related construction experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and meticulous analytical capability
- Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining an even-keel approach and commitment to deadlines.
- Able to certify and wear personal protective equipment, such as respirator, safety glasses, hard-hat, gloves, protective footwear, and earplugs on a daily basis.
- Able to exert routine physical effort on a regular basis.
- Able to use the proper tools for any given job.
- Able to use a PC keyboard to input data into completed work orders.
- Able to operate a motor vehicle and the ability to enter and exit vehicle unassisted.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Utilize company’s mapping system effectively.
- Able to work independently or in a team-based environment to accomplish assignments and achieve objectives.
- Demonstrates an aptitude for basic mechanical tasks.
