POSITION DESCRIPTION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER


I. INTRODUCTION
Functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Services. Acts as the contact point for research, development and maintenance of vendor sourcing, suppliers, and sales force for City of Faith’s Special Services Division. Works with suppliers to monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of products and pricing. Work with the accounting department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the company. Attend meetings with team, vendors, and suppliers. The duties of this position require constant contact with individuals in confinement who are suspected or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws of United States.


II. RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES

  • Has primary responsibility for LMA – Lead, Manage and Accountability.
  • Manages and promotes sales operations and provides direct oversight of the sales aspect of the Special Services Division.
  • Works closely with and maintains open communications between the aspects of the criminal justice division of local, state, and federal jurisdictions, to include judges, sheriff offices, district attorneys, defense attorneys and any other identified justice involved customers.
  • Assists in the development, planning and execution of corporate expansion and growth.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Electronic Monitoring Vendors.
  • Assists with the development of policy and procedures for the operations of the Electronic Monitoring Division.
  • Assists with the evaluation of Project reports.
  • Coordinate with the Electronic Monitoring Staff concerning training.
  • Maintain accurate and current records and reports as deemed necessary by the Procurement Director or Director of Operations.
  • Responsible for the assistance in developing Administrative Policy as it relates to the development and improvement of the Electronic Monitoring Division as it relates to any state or local contract requirements.
  • Must be familiar with the Center’s emergency plan and with the physical plans of the center.
  • Prepares reports as required by the Director of Finance, Director of Operations and various criminal justice agencies as required.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure City of Faith delivers services as directed by the contract.
  • Represent City of Faith at various local, state, and federal vendor functions.
  • Must be able to travel and work overtime if needed.
  • All other duties assigned


III. DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY AND SKILLS

  • Possess the ability to work independently and to function without close supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability in interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.
  • Must be proficient in using computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and has the ability to navigate the web and other programs.
  • Must be able to develop working knowledge of the industry and market conditions.
  • Must possess strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
