Job Description
Key Responsibilities- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Actively source new business through cold calling, networking, and industry events to build a strong pipeline.
- Client Relationship Management: Travel to meet with contractors, architects, and property owners to discuss project requirements, demonstrating products or services.
- Estimating & Proposals: Create accurate project estimates, material takeoffs from plans, and formal, competitive bids.
- Sales Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and project timelines to close sales and maintain healthy profit margins.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain CRM records, update client information, and generate weekly/monthly sales reports.
- Product Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, codes, and industry trends.
- Experience: Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the construction, building materials, or industrial equipment industries.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction documents, blueprints, or architectural specifications.
- Communication: Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Physical/Logistical: Ability to travel regularly within a designated territory, including visiting active,, sometimes hazardous, job sites.
