Job Description
The Structural Fitter is responsible for laying out and assembling fabricated parts and structural steel according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring compliance with AISC and AWS standards. Key Responsibilities- Lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated metal parts for structural assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and shop drawings accurately.
- Use hand tools, measuring devices, and hoists/overhead cranes to position and secure parts.
- Prepare materials for welding or riveting.
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Regular and punctual attendance with flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts.
