Job Description

“Seasonal and Temporary Work 3/1/26-12/1/26"

Perform duties like, drive, operate farm machinery to prepare soil, plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain
crops such as Soybean, Corn, and Rice. Other job duties may include clearing ground of rocks, sticks & roots
by hand, clear brush and trees with chain saw, field and fence maintenance. Manually weed fields by hand or
with use of hand tools. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil: plant and
cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive, operate or use the following farming equipment and tools:
self –propelled combine, 4x4 Tractor, Front wheel assist tractor, 2 wd tractor, forklift, Tele handler, backhoe,
track hoe, crane, lift truck, fuel truck, 1 ton truck, 2 ton Bob truck, pickup truck, ATV side by side, bulldozer,
plasma, cutter, drill, lathe, air seeder, twin row planter, single row planter, 3 pt. drill, field cultivators, Kelley
tool, land plain, dirt buggy, dike plow, roller, mower, 3 pt. blade, grain cart, roll a cone, chisel plow, multi
grater, misc. hand tools. Workers will perform a variety of duties such as lubricating and maintaining farm
machinery when necessary. Workers may do minor repairs, maintain, and clean all hand tools and
mechanical equipment prior to and after use. Workers will drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or
storage area, no more than 14,000lbs and within 8 miles, no CDL is required. Inspect field irrigation systems;
replace damaged pipes, valves, water jets, sprinklers, etc. using necessary equipment. May construct
trellises, repair farm fences, buildings replace damaged posts using wire stretchers, hammers, paint, brushes,
etc. May drive company’s vehicles to fields and grocery store.
