Job Description

Seasonal/Temporary work from 3/05/26 - 11/30/26.

Workers will prepare soil for planting, till ground and eliminate weeds by hand or by spraying. May be required to clear land of rocks and debris or install irrigation system. Driving backhoe for filing up sprig planter. Workers will drive tractor planting sod springs. Planted seed must be fertilized and mowed on a regular basis to keep grass at a specified height. Workers must keep grass free of weeds and moist at all times. At appropriate time, sod will be harvested by cutting into squares or rolled into bales with tractor, rolling machine. Pallets of sod will be loaded onto trucks via piggyback and forklift in preparation for market. Delivery of sod to market. Maintenance of farm equipment and machinery is required; speak and understand English.
