Job Description

“Seasonal and Temporary Work 3/1/26-12/15/26"

Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or
seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect
equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery
for cultivating, planting, spraying, watering, harvesting, moving, storing crops; Operate or tend large,
high horsepower farm equipment (much of which is equipped with GPS) used in agricultural
production such as tractor, combine, planter, grain cart, mower, tillage tool to produce crops such as
rice, corn, soybeans, cotton; Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery
malfunctions; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields, load crops and drive trucks to
transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags; Attach farm
implements such as plows, discs, planters, harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; Operate
towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops; Irrigate soil
using portable pipes, center pivot, or ditch systems and maintain systems; Assess crop maturity and
field conditions; speak and understand English.
