Job Description
The Mix Maker makes an impact by –
Set-up all equipment associated with the High Temperature Short Time (HTST) Pasteurizer in accordance to all applicable SOPs related to sanitary condition, cleanliness, equipment condition and legal safe guards.
Place materials into proper staging conditions and follow all applicable SOPs for staging, tempering and addition of materials in a food safe manner maintaining product quality, traceability and security of materials.
Monitor HTST outputs and make required adjustments to temperatures, pressures and process flows to maintain product specifications.
Calculate ice cream mixes utilizing standardized software and through a high level of knowledge of the ice cream mix formulation process make standardizing calculations as required.
Monitor raw material usage and shelf life to maintain product specification and ensure compliance to PMO storage requirements.
Work closely with sanitation supervisor to ensure al equipment and areas used in the mixing and pasteurizing process are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Perform required preventive maintenance on mixing and pasteurizing as assigned.
Stage for transfer back into raw materials inventory the balances of packaging materials, ingredients and production supplies from the production lines to the warehouse(s) in a food safe manner maintaining accuracy of inventory.
Tasks include housekeeping, general sanitation and product quality assessment responsibilities throughout the manufacturing process.
Maintain the integrity of the quality system.
Be engaged in the day-to-day running of the business by performing tasks beyond normal/baseline job responsibilities, participating in team or business improvement meetings and initiatives positioned toward improving business results.

The employee is required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
The employee is required to wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an manufacturing environment for 8+ hours.
The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and where applicable and when necessary, to perform various job-related tasks.
Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform various job-related tasks.
The employee must be able to inspect all job-related equipment (office or floor) to ensure it is in good working condition prior to use. Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle (or feel) to operate various types of office equipment.
Must be able to operate all job-related equipment (powered, hand or office) as required.
Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
