Job Description
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator such as: Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery for cultivating, planting, spraying, watering, harvesting, moving, storing crops; Operate or tend large, high horsepower farm equipment (much of which is equipped with GPS) used in agricultural production such as tractor, combine, sprayer, planter, grain cart, tillage tool to produce crops such as rice, cotton, soybeans, wheat; Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions; Drive truck to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers; Level land; Irrigate soil and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps; Assess crop maturity and field conditions
