Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IC Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in integrated circuit design—from architecture and modeling through implementation, verification, and tape-out. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and manufacturable ICs for next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of analog, digital, or mixed-signal integrated circuits from concept through production.
  • Define architectural specifications and contribute to system-level design decisions.
  • Develop behavioral and structural models using Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, or other relevant HDLs.
  • Perform schematic capture, circuit simulation, design optimization, and layout reviews.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure accurate physical implementation and meet performance, area, and power targets.
  • Conduct design verification, including simulation, characterization, corner analysis, and validation of silicon results.
  • Work with test engineering teams to define test plans, troubleshoot issues, and support ATE testing.
  • Document design specifications, methodologies, and results for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with packaging, reliability, and fabrication partners.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IC design (analog, digital, mixed-signal, or RF).
  • Proficiency with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience taking at least one IC design from concept to tape-out and silicon validation.
  • Ability to analyze and debug complex circuit and system-level issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with high-temperature or Radhard designs.
  • Experience in silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, and production ramp.
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python, Perl, TCL, etc.).
  • Knowledge of DFT, timing analysis, or signal integrity.
  • Prior experience in ASIC, SoC, or sensor IC development.
