Job Description
Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate poly pipe and center pivot irrigation equipment; Operate 100-300 HP tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with John Deere and Trimble GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest grain and forage crops; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Perform record keeping such as maintaining scale tickets, recording weights on cattle loads, recording products applied by sprayer, etc.; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Attend to live farm animals including cattle; Examine equipment for safety, cleanliness, and basic upkeep; Perform bedding, floating, sub soiling; Must be able to speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 6 workers to begin Feb 1, 2026 and 5 workers to begin August 15, 2026.
