Job Description
Performs indirect patient care, which includes but is not limited to, cleaning occupied and unoccupied patient areas and maintaining an environment which is hygienically clean and free of hazards for the wellbeing of patient, other associates, and self. An understanding and willingness to follow infection control, housekeeping department policies and procedures, and safety. Needs to be knowledgeable with the physical location of all departments (i.e., CCU - OB - ER - etc.). Handle all waste according to proper policy and procedures. Clean, disinfect areas using approved solutions. Request cleaning supplies and equipment as needed. Maintain equipment - keep it clean, neat, and in working order.
