Job Description

Position Summary:

The Neil Griffin College of Business at Arkansas State University invites applications for the position of department chair in Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain starting in July 2026.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will manage academic programs in the areas of Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain. They will guide the development of faculty and their research programs, direct the departments’ academic programs, teach undergraduate and graduate classes in management, and engage with the local community. The standard teaching load for department chairs is 6 hours per semester in the fall and spring.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Hold a tenured appointment and demonstrate success as a leader at an AACSB-accredited College of Business.
- A distinguished record of research and teaching appropriate for an appointment at the associate or full professor level.

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Ph.D. in management, or a closely related field, from an AACSB-accredited school.
