Job Description
Position Summary:
Faculty members in instructor positions are responsible for teaching and maintaining a high-quality learning environment that supports student success. Instructors are expected to deliver instruction in alignment with departmental and university curricula, assess student learning, and contribute to the continuous improvement of courses and programs. Instructors also provide service to their programs, departments, and the university through committee participation and other professional contributions. While the primary focus of this role is teaching, research and creative activities are encouraged.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Teach a standard instructional load of 15 credit hours per semester
- Prepare, deliver, and assess undergraduate and/or graduate courses in assigned content areas.
- Support student learning through mentoring.
- Engage in service activities at the program, department, college, and/or university level.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Encouraged: Contribute to scholarly or creative activities.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching and student success.
· Ability to design and deliver effective, inclusive instruction in the discipline.
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
· Capacity to contribute to curriculum development and program improvement.

General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance
Minimum Qualifications:
· A master’s degree or higher in a discipline relevant to the position is required
· Professional experience and evidence of teaching effectiveness appropriate to the discipline are required.
