Job Description
Position Summary:
Faculty members deliver instruction, carry out research, perform service for their respective professions and community, and participate in the management of the University through shared governance. Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the profession. The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet professional standards and fulfill the educational goals of the University
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Co-coordinate Bachelor of Science in Education– Elementary Education degree program
- Instruction and course development in Elementary Education
- Teach 15 hours in Elementary Education
- Assist in development/implementation of on-line Elementary Education program
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required or applicable to the position responsibilities and area of specialization, including special abilities.
Candidates will preferably demonstrate successful teaching experience at the master and specialist levels; have experience with online teaching and the Canvas LMS, and be proficient in utilizing and incorporating technology into instruction and research efforts
General Days/Hours:
On-campus position
Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Preferred Qualifications:
• Classroom teaching experience (a minimum of three years) in P-12 public schools in Elementary Education or related field
• Teaching experience in higher education
• Teaching experience in on-line teaching and on-line course development
