Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is a skilled health care provider and has successfully completed an organized program of nursing education that certifies the nurse for an advanced practice role as an APRN in acute care pediatrics. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, the APRN will manage the care of pediatric patients, with rheumatology related or potential rheumatology related disorders under the medical supervision of the Rheumatology Physician. This position is additionally involved in education and consultation at various levels and is responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the UAMS Department of Pediatrics and Division of Rheumatology. The Rheumatology APRN also interacts closely with other peer APRNS, specialty nurses, administrative staff, support staff, and other health care workers on a continual basis.Qualifications:

Master's in Nursing, Current RN License, National Certification as an APRN in Pediatrics (primary or acute) or National Certification eligible as an APRN in Pediatrics (primary or acute) with certification obtained by hire date.

APRN License and prescriptive authority certification granted by the ASBN in accordance with all state and federal laws by the time of hire.
