Job Description

The City of Heber Springs is hiring a full‑time Equipment Operator for the Street Division of the Public Works Department to perform roadway maintenance, stormwater and right‑of‑way work, and general city equipment operations.

Key duties

•        Operate all city heavy and light equipment for street maintenance and construction.

•        Patch potholes and perform asphalt/concrete repairs.

•        Install and repair culverts.

•        Load, haul, and dispose of limbs, brush, leaves, and other right‑of‑way debris.

•        Perform routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and safe operation of vehicles and equipment.

•        Follow directions from supervisors and assist other Public Works crews as needed.
