Your day as a Loan AssistantAs a Loan Assistant at Farmers and Merchants Bank, you can expect a structured and engaging work routine from Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Daily responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and processing of loan applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and verified. You will communicate directly with clients to answer their inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the loan process.
Additionally, you'll collaborate with loan officers to streamline operations and maintain accurate records in our systems. Expect to engage in regular training sessions, enhancing your understanding of loan products and compliance regulations. - Processing note payments and updating computer information.
- Checking credit applications and preparing loan denials.
- Collecting financial information for loan processing.
- Ordering necessary documents like flood determinations, title insurance, and credit reports.
- Tracking documents to ensure timely loan closing.
- Reviewing documentation for compliance.
- Preparing loan extensions and modifications.
- Mailing past due letters and satisfying loan exceptions.
- Preparing documentation for the special asset committee.
