Job Description
Position Summary:
Arkansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a 9- or 12-month, full time, tenure or non-tenure track, open rank faculty position in comparative veterinary anatomy (gross and microanatomy).
Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This will be a predominantly teaching position (>65% teaching) and will also include research/scholarly activities and service. The allocation of time for these additional responsibilities will be tailored to align with the applicant’s interest in either a tenure-track or non-tenure-track appointment. Teaching of DVM students will be in a competency-based veterinary curriculum incorporating lecture, lab and small group learning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contribute to competency-based curriculum development with a focus on anatomy
- Teach anatomy and related foundational science fields (physiology, histology or embryology)
- Develop a scholarly research program (tenure track) and/or collaborate in research endeavors (tenure and non-tenure track)
- Contribute to college and university committees and/or serve on regional or national professional organizations
- Other duties as assigned
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
