Job Description

Seasonal/Temporary work from 9/13/2025 - 11/30/2025

We are a 2500 acre row crop farming operation. We primarily grow corn, cotton and soybeans. Our equipment primarily consists of late model John Deere equipment. Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Record information about crops such as pesticide use, yields, or costs; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, cotton, soybeans, wheat; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Maintain inventory; Trap and destroy pests such as moles, gophers, and mice; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; Guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines, discard rotten items; Position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: air seeders, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, cotton stripper/picker, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, planters, self-propelled machinery, semi trucks, sprayers, spreaders, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, cotton, grain sorghum, rice, soybeans, and wheat. Must speak and understand English.
