SUMMARY:
This position is an integral part of our culinary team, focused on the development of innovative product positioning and application solutions for our retail brands. The role involves transforming available information into meaningful insights to recommend relevant growth opportunities for key Tyson customers. The position closely interacts with Tyson sales, marketing, and research and development teams within these key brands. Responsibilities within R&D include driving the development of the brand through culinary insights and flavor innovation. Key support will be provided to the sales teams once products are launched on the market, serving as a resource for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop product positioning and application solutions for retail brands, including State Fair, Tortilla Land, Wright Brand, and others.
- Analyze market data and consumer trends to identify growth opportunities for key Tyson customers.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to drive brand development through culinary insights and flavor innovation.
- Provide culinary expertise and support to sales teams during product launches and serve as a customer resource. This includes conducting culinary demonstrations and training sessions for internal teams and customers.
- Maintain detailed documentation of culinary development processes and product specifications.
- Operate within a well-maintained test kitchen culture, participating in general cleaning, inventory management and overall organization of the test kitchen area.
- Represent Tyson Foods as a brand ambassador, supporting internal and external media activations including recipe development, food styling, etc.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and Tyson Foods' quality standards.
REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:
- 6+ years of food service experience. A culinary degree, certificate, or certified chef credentials from the American Culinary Federation preferred.
- BS in Food Science or related field with 2 years or more foodservice and/or supervisory experience. Food Science training or education is preferred.
- Experience in at least 2 or 3 foodservice segments (e.g., foodservice national accounts, menu development, manufacturing, catering, banquet leadership, commercial restaurant, hotel, and on-site foodservice). Track record of creating and commercializing successful new product offerings.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, organizational, and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Preferred but not required could be HACCP certified; member of at least one professional chef or food science association.

Analytical Skills: Ability to implement and utilize KPI tracking systems, providing data-driven insights for decision-making and resource allocation.
