Job Details:

Inbound Logistics- Load Building

This position is responsible for coordinating with customers to schedule appointments for outbound domestic truck freight, which may include one or more delivery stops. The goal is to ensure the most cost-effective and timely delivery of products. Responsibilities involve managing customer schedules through various communication channels, including email, phone, fax, and web-based applications. Maintaining accurate records of customer information-such as phone numbers, specific contacts, and receiving hours-is a key aspect of the role.

The scheduling process requires collaboration with sales teams, customer service departments, Tyson warehouses, shipping facilities, the company fleet, and external transportation providers. In addition, this role assists in resolving scheduling or delivery issues with customers and performs other duties as assigned.

Working within a cross-functional team is essential to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. The role also requires the ability to work independently, making decisions about shipment routing and scheduling.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3+ years of office/clerical experience; transportation or customer service environment is preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required; must possess articulate and professional phone skills with internal company contacts and external customers.

Special Skills: Must have the ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking.
