Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Arkansas is seeking applicants for the position of Pickle Line Lead Operator for the Specialty Cold Mill Complex. The Pickle Line Lead Operator will lead the team in a culture of safety, cooperation, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include promoting safety awareness, coaching team members, achieving quality production goals, and driving productivity KPIs. The role requires strong problem-solving skills to make informed decisions aligned with departmental objectives. The Lead Operator will encourage team performance enhancements and advocate for improvements in safety, productivity, profitability, and engagement. Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekends, and holidays and in adverse conditions.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of Pickle Line experience
- Minimum of 3 years of Steel Manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience
- Project management experience
