Job Description
Establishing and enforcing data warehousing standards at the client site to meet client requirements and business needs. Determining data warehousing strategy; selecting tools and techniques, including middleware, data cleansing tools, and/or data management systems to provide the solution to data and client issues and other matters of significance and to meet business needs. Conducting research into new data warehouse applications and determining viability for adoption. Evaluating existing subject areas stored in the data warehouse and determining where data should be stored. Assisting in several components of the overall architecture of the data warehouse system. Documenting tasks for end-user, technical, and managerial review to ensure high quality customer service. Providing descriptive analyses of customer, product, and market trends and identifying and resolving data issues. Performing quality assurance testing of data integration and report development. Monitoring data load operations to ensure accuracy and assisting and/or providing limited direction to lower-level technical personnel. .
Minimum requirement: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field followed by five (5) years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or a related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, experience, or training is acceptable.
One year of experience with the following skills required:
- ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, and Informatica Power Exchange.
- Writing scripts such as shell scripting.
- Building data pipelines using Apache Nifi, DB2, SQL.
- Write complex queries using both SQL and PL/SQL and Version control tool like GIT for deploying the code to production.
