Responsibilities
SUMMARY
Staging outbound materials, and loading/unloading outbound/inbound and transfer truck as well as any other assignments as directed by Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accountable for personal adherence to all applicable Safety, cGMP, Food Safety, and plant policies as directed by Management. Maintain warehouse safety and housekeeping standards.
2. Complete a minimum of 2 Observation and 2 Near Miss audits per month.
3. Accurately set up outbound materials based on pick-slips
4. Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained
5. Put goods away and handle Finished Goods material requests
6. Ensure product integrity is maintained at a high level
7. Loading of outbound & transfer trucks upon arrival
8. Unloading inbound & transfer trucks upon arrival
9. Daily pre-use check of material handling equipment
10. Change material handling equipment batteries as required
11. Support production and quality in various other forms and functions as required
12. Perform other related duties assigned.

2. Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.
3. Apply resources in a manner which maximizes their effectiveness in assuring quality.
4. Maintain a work environment which will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance.
5. Adhere to established procedures, perform self- checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of your work.
6. Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance.
7. Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.
8. Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED desired
The ability to work safely in a fast paced environment
Be flexible
Good written and verbal communication skills
Display good attention to detail
Be able to obtain forklift certification
Prior shipping and receiving experience is desired, including forklift operation
Must have common knowledge of Berry procedures and JDE
Have the ability to work in a team environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Food Safety – GMP Warehouse Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, and/or extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Required to carry, lift and stack up to 35 lb. cartons.
