Job Description


Our client is looking for a diligent Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join their team in Southaven, Mississippi. This role involves handling critical tasks such as processing biweekly, multi-state US Payroll, reviewing and validating timesheets, and coordinating with HR to process employee changes. You will also be responsible for wage garnishment processing, state payroll tax setup, auditing payroll documents, and assisting with year-end preparation.


- Process biweekly, multi-state US Payroll.

- Review and validate timesheet changes in collaboration with managers.

- Collaborate with HR to process employee changes like title, pay, and manager changes.

- Handle wage garnishments and complete necessary documentation.

- Ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll processing and analyze variances.

- Assist the department with new state payroll tax setup.

- Validate vacation and personal time balances.

- Produce and analyze various reports in Excel.

- Assist with year-end preparation, such as W2 and 1095-C forms, as well as various compliance reporting.

- Conduct regular audits of payroll documents.

- Process Canadian payroll as needed.

- Administer all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.

- Verify and process qualifying event changes as well as COBRA administration.

- Provide remote and on-site support during annual Open Enrollment.

- Resolve password resets and answer employee inquiries regarding time off requests utilizing the HRIS.

- Support Accounting with required reporting.

- Stay up to date with legislative changes.

- Perform any other administrative duties related to payroll, benefits, and human resources.


- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration

- Proficiency in ADP Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now required

- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce, Kronos Timekeeping System, and Microsoft Excel preferred

- Familiarity with 401k and RRSP administration is a plus

- Knowledge of About Time software desirable

- Strong understanding of accounting functions

- Experience in managing benefit functions

- Skilled in check processing

- Knowledge of HRIS – Human Resources Information Systems is advantageous

- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

- High degree of professionalism and strong problem-solving capabilities

- Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
