Sourcing Sales Executives are responsible for leading meetings and events sales efforts and driving incremental meetings sourcing sales. They will develop, execute, and manage the relationship for small, mid, and large size clients in the United States/Canada. Must be able to grow, manage, and nurture a pipeline of clientele with venue sourcing needs.

The Sourcing Sales Executive will manage and grow their accounts through a combination of responsibilities and skills.

What You’ll Do:

+ Timely and professional engagement with inbound business leads.

+ Retention of current clients though outstanding relationship management.

+ Expansion of reach within Amex GBT via customer referrals and presentations.

+ Build revenue with company.

+ Provide venue site selection services.

+ Negotiate group hotel contracts.

+ Capture and document a hotel guestroom pickup report on every event.

+ Keep up on all data entry requirements in Cvent and Salesforce.

+ Curation of quarterly/annual venue sourcing savings reports, as needed.

+ NOTE: Prospecting for new business is a key component of this role

What We’re Looking For:

+ Prior sales experience in any of the following industries is required: Regional or National Hotel Sales, Full-service Meeting & Event planning, or Selling and sourcing meetings & events

+ Proven track record in sales negotiations and closing skills

+ Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals

+ Demonstrated knowledge of the strategic approach to articulating value propositions

+ Able get results and to act and lead as a change agent

+ Sales planning and execution

+ Detailed knowledge of consultative selling techniques

+ Strong financial acuity

+ Ability to work and contribute in a team approach

+ Strong pipeline management skills

+ Strong internal and external networking and collaborative skills

United States – Virtual Location

The US national hourly wage range for this position (including any non-recoverable draw) is from $12.00 to $18.00 per hour. The national range provided includes the hourly rate that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual hourly wage rate will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
